Your driver will pick you up early in the morning from Kampala or Entebbe and transfer you to Queen Elizabeth National Park in western Uganda. The journey takes about 7 to 8 hours and passes through scenic landscapes of tea plantations, banana gardens, natural forests, the Rwenzori mountain ranges, and local villages.

You will stop in Fort Portal town for lunch and later at Kikorongo to view the equator monument. On arrival in the park, enjoy an evening game drive as you head to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Cruise

Start the day with an early morning game drive to see lions, hyenas, Uganda kobs, buffalos, elephants, warthogs, and many other animals. The game drive lasts about 3 hours, with breaks to watch birds and other wildlife.

In the afternoon, take a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel to spot hippos, elephants, buffalos, crocodiles, warthogs, and birds such as pelicans, egrets, hamerkops, fish eagles, and African skimmers. After the cruise, you may choose to visit Lake Katwe or a nearby community for a cultural experience.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking – Return to Kampala

After breakfast, go to the park office for a briefing before chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge. Rangers will explain the rules, check permits, and assign guides. You will then trek into the forest to look for chimpanzees.

When you find a troop, you will spend one hour observing their behavior and movements. After the trek, start your journey back to Kampala with a lunch stop at the equator or in Mbarara city. You will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your 3-day safari.
