Mweya Safari Lodge is located in Kasese, western Uganda, inside Queen Elizabeth National Park at the Mweya Peninsula. This 3-star lodge offers tourists luxury facilities in the heart of the park.
Mweya Safari Lodge is easy to reach by both air and road from Kampala or Entebbe. By air, tourists take a one-hour flight from Entebbe International Airport to Mweya Airstrip, followed by a short drive to the lodge.
By road, travelers drive from Kampala or Entebbe in a safari vehicle through Kasese and enter the park via Kabatoro Gate to reach Mweya Safari Lodge.
Mweya Safari Lodge offers luxury accommodation in three types: 44 rooms, 4 cottages, and 4 tents.
The 44 rooms are divided into different types:
Classic Rooms
- King Classic Room: One king-sized bed, sleeps 2
- Twin Classic Room: Two single beds, sleeps 2
- Queen Classic Room: One queen-sized bed, sleeps 2
- Family Classic Room: One queen-sized bed and one single bed, sleeps 3
Deluxe Rooms
These are more spacious than classic rooms:
- Queen Deluxe Room: One queen-sized bed, sleeps 2
- Twin Deluxe Room: Two single beds, sleeps 2
- Family Deluxe Room: Two queen-sized beds, sleeps 4
Superior Rooms
- The lodge has two superior rooms, each with a living lounge, one king-sized bed, and space for up to 3 people.
All rooms offer beautiful views of the Kazinga Channel and modern features like en suite bathrooms, flush toilets, air conditioning, coffee station, toiletries, a table and chair, electricity, and ceiling fans.
The lodge also has 4 cottages mainly for families. These offer more space and include either two twin bedrooms or one king-sized bedroom and a twin bedroom, plus a living room. They can host up to 6 people.
In addition, the lodge offers safari tents built on wooden platforms with thatched or solid roofs for extra cover. Each tent includes a permanent bathroom, queen-sized bed, electricity, bedside lamps, stand fan, private balcony, table and chair, and a self-serve coffee station.
