Enganzi Lodge is located on a hill overlooking Queen Elizabeth National Park, offering clear views of the park and its surroundings. The lodge has five spacious and comfortable cottages with aerial views of the Savannah grasslands and wildlife.
Each room has a large bed with clean bedding, a treated mosquito net, a bathroom with hot and cold showers, tables, chairs, flush toilets, and closets for clothes.
There are sockets in each room for charging devices, and large windows allow in natural light and fresh air. The roofs are thatched with dry banana leaves and grass, giving the rooms a natural and unique design.
Guests can wake up to the sound of birds and views of the savannah from the French doors leading to the balcony. This is also a perfect spot to relax with a cup of coffee, read a book, or enjoy a sunset while watching wildlife.
Enganzi Lodge can be reached by road or air. By road, guests can travel from Kampala to the park in a guided 4×4 safari vehicle for comfort and easy navigation. By air, chartered or scheduled flights operate from Entebbe International Airport to Kasese Airstrip, followed by a transfer arranged by the lodge.
The lodge has an open restaurant where guests can enjoy meals while spotting wildlife such as buffaloes and zebras. There is also a swimming pool for cooling off on a hot day, free Wi-Fi, a bar, ample parking, airport pick-up and drop-off, and laundry services. The lodge uses hydropower for its operations, and the cottages are on a hill, requiring guests to use stairs to reach them.
From Enganzi Lodge, guests can explore the park through activities such as boat safaris on the Kazinga Channel, where they can see hippos, kingfishers, African finfoots, and crocodiles. Game drives in the Kasenyi Plains or Ishasha Sector offer chances to see lions, elephants, buffaloes, and giraffes. Other activities include community visits to Kikorongo, chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura Gorge, and guided walks to crater lakes and other areas of the park.
Enganzi Lodge is an excellent choice for seeing wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and over 600 bird species in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
