Ihamba Lakeside Safari Lodge is located in Queen Elizabeth National Park along the shores of Lake George in Muhokya Sub-county, near Kahendero Fishing Village. It offers clear views of the lake and the wide savannah right from the comfort of your cottage.
The lodge is eco-friendly and built with grass-thatched roofs, stones, wood, and other local materials.
The lodge has 10 comfortable cottages overlooking Lake George. There are four types of cottages:
- Single occupancy cottage – for solo travelers, with one bed and all lodge amenities.
- Double occupancy cottage – for couples or two travelers, but can be arranged for triple occupancy.
- Triple occupancy cottage – ideal for couples traveling with a child, with space for an extra bed.
- Family occupancy cottage – has two bedrooms, perfect for families traveling with children.
All rooms have internet, en suite bathrooms, hot and cold showers, air conditioning, bathtubs, flush toilets, and private verandas.
The lodge has an outdoor swimming pool for cooling off after a hot day. There is also a well-stocked bar serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including beer, wine, spirits, soda, and water.
A spacious restaurant serves both local and international meals, prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
During your stay, you can enjoy game drives in the Ishasha Sector and Kasenyi Plains to see wildlife such as lions, elephants, leopards, and buffaloes.
You can also visit Kyambura Gorge for chimpanzee trekking, where you will see these close relatives of humans along with other primates like blue monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, and olive baboons.
Nature walks are available in different parts of the park, including Maramagambo Forest, where you can see smaller mammals, birds, and beautiful scenery.
